About Abbey

Hi, I'm Abbey! I am a passionate, caring, and open-minded individual with loads of experience working with children. I got my B. S. in Natural Resources from Oregon State University. After college, my love for the outdoors and having fun led me down a path in youth development working as an Outdoor Education instructor. This job taught me the importance of balancing fun, learning, and safety. In recent years, I have worked as a nanny, snorkel instructor in Hawaii, and a caretaker here in Santa Cruz. I love travel, sewing, dogs, cooking, hiking, and being in the sunshine :) I have 8 years of experience working with children from ages 6mo-16. Additionally, I have been lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and Wilderness First Aid certified. I have a car and feel comfortable driving your children. I'm searching for 30ish hours a week but am open to discussing anything. We have so much to learn from kids and I would love to learn from yours!
