Beginning in 2016, I took care of my mother, who died at the age of 97 in December 2023. I am familiar with dementia and a range of cognitive impairments. I am delighted to talk about books, films, gardening etc. and where appropriate, to organise outings to museums, parks, shops, or visiting friends. I cook well, and have had numerous pets- I currently have a dog and a cat. I am also careful with medicine and can help with light chores. I am myself able-bodied, so certainly capable of lifting someone or providing any physical assistance that might be needed. .
