Akua took care of my Mom for 6 months at the end of her life. I can only describe her this way. My mom was such a wonderful person and it was sad to see her suffer and I often thought why would God let her suffer so much. But what I realized that we all pass on the way that is meant for us. But God did realize the wonder of my mom and sent an Angel to guide her home. That was Akau. Day in and day out the care and comfort that she provided my Mom was simply amazing. What she showed was true love and compassion for another person. She would sing for the longest time to my mom to comfort her and her Anxiety when I could do nothing to ease her. She prayed for her endlessly. She never gave up her commitment to help her. She was also an amazing support for myself and sometimes wonder how I would have handled those many months without her. In the end it was Akau with my Mom all those days and long nights and when she finally went home to heaven. I was a few minutes too late and she comfort me in my unbearable grief. I guess she was my angel as well. It is difficult to watch someone you live suffer and you want to hold on. Akua will always have a special place in my heart for all she has done and the person that she is.
