About Alana

I take COVID precautions very seriously! I have been living and taking care of my 90-year-old grandmother. The bulk of my experience lies in working with children's art programs in the Boston area. I worked with an art program where I lead classes with an average of 13 students in craft projects ideas. At the end of the day I facilitated a "share time" where each student got to share what they created and hear from their peers. I really enjoyed this opportunity to get to know each child individually. I also worked with students in remote learning with a program. In this program I designed an art history syllabus focused on community art from prehistoric times to modern murals. This was an 8 week class with a series of projects throughout the class. Transitioning to remote learning was a challenge but I learned a lot. One of my passions is helping students bring to life their own creative ideas and I am excited to work with you and your children.
