About Alexis

My name is Alexis and my passion is working with children. I am flexible doing anything from babysitting to full on instructor depending on what is needed. My goal is to pursue a degree in Special Education. I work full time during the day with children with special needs although, my experience with children began while attending high school in a small day care. I strive to help kids reach their highest potential whether or not they have special needs. I have an upbeat, energetic personality that children enjoy but I am also the adult they need to care for them. I can keep children entertained and if needed I will incorporate my experience in education. I make learning fun where some students forget they are being productive. I also believe that playtime is essential. Whether it be sensory, cognitive, or simply using their imagination, I can get children to engage with me in ways other caregivers cannot.
