About Allison

Hello! My name is Allison! I just recently moved to Mar Vista from Boston, MA and I am looking for positions to continue my passions for childcare and education! After beginning my babysitting career at the age of 12, I have expanded to working in educational settings. During my four years of college, I would return to my hometown and work in the local school district as a paraprofessional/educational support person mostly working with students with autism and learning disabilities. After graduating, I began working at For Kids Only Afterschool, which is a nonprofit program for after school care for children age 5-14. There, I was responsible for the care of 13-26 children as well as lesson planning, coming up with fun and engaging activities for 8 hour programming, as well as finding ways to accommodate challenging behaviors and disabilities.
