About Alyson

I have 13 years of teaching experience, including both special education and regular education. I have tutored children and given homework help since I was in high school! I currently tutor elementary-aged students in primarily literacy and math, however I am open to various subjects. I am very experienced with grades K-5, as I've taught all of those grades throughout my time in the classroom. I've worked with children with special needs who have required intensive individualized programs in order to meet with success. Teaching children is my passion, and I love helping them with my knowledge and expertise! In addition, I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading. When tutoring children, I tailor the lessons to meet their needs and interests. My focus is to keep them motivated and engaged while learning, but also having fun while doing so!
