About Alyssa

I started taking care of the elderly when I was in high school. I was offered a cooperative education program my senior year in a local hospital as a Nursing Assistant on a cardiac care unit. I would report to the hospital at 7 a.m. and return to school around 11 a.m. for the remainder of the school day. I loved working at the hospital so much I didn't want the school year to end. Luckily, my supervisor thought I did such a great job at the hospital she offered me a part time position after graduation! I continued working at the hospital for 2 years, when I decided to get into home health care as well. I continued working at the hospital for another 2 years in addition to home health. Since then I have done numerous home health cases here and there while I have moved around for school. I am currently enrolled in a CNA course and will have that certification in addition to my already obtained CPR, First Aid, and EKG at the beginning of May.
