About Amalia

My name is Amalia and I am an experienced babysitter and early childhood teacher. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology-Child Development. I started babysitting about 11 years ago and have worked primarily with children ages 3mo-5 years old. I then started working as a teacher in infant and toddler classrooms. Most recently I worked as head teacher in a toddler classroom in a Montessori school. I believe in building trusting and respectful relationships with every child and family I work with. I believe that each child has unique needs and desires that need to be supported in unique ways. I believe in keeping a consistent routine, but one that allows for lots of fun, creative, active, and messy activities.
