About Amanda

I have been in childcare for over 20 years. I have taught PreK, 2nd, and 5th grades as well as high school algebra. I was a home school teacher and nanny for a family for two years before having my own kids. I have experience with infants to high school and a wide range of learning and behavioral challenges. I am kind and caring and children everywhere I go are drawn to me as a safe and loving caretaker. I enjoy helping kids learn in natural ways through nature, crafts, reading, cooking, and play. I love to go exploring with kids at parks, trails, zoos, museums, etc. For the summer, I do bring with me my own three incredible children. They are 8, 5, and 4 and love to make friends and play and learn! In a school setting, I have cared regularly for over 15 children at a time. In a home setting I have regularly cared for 5 children. I am very comfortable with providing excellent care to your 1-2 children in addition to my own. My rates reflect my children also coming.
