About Amanda

I have over 30 years of experience working with children of all ages. I was a teacher for 27 years. I specifically geared the latter part of my career working with children that have special needs. Recently, I was a paralegal for a law firm that, unfortunately, had to lay me off due to financial difficulties. I'd describe my personality as kind, loving and nurturing. I'm looking for a job that helps families in need and to continue building mentor to child relationships. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter, read, walk my furbaby and spend time with my loved ones. My skills include active listening, guiding and nurturing childhood authenticities. I believe in using positive redirection based on the child's personality. I love experiencing true joy in teaching a variety of life skills:). I love working with the parents according to what works best for them. Consistency across the board is key. It's hokey but teamwork makes the dream work:)
