About Amanda

Working with and teaching children is a passion of mine. I graduated in 2006 with a bachelors degree in Child Development from Central Michigan University. I have worked with a variety of ages in a center and with children in their homes. I think children need that love and compassion to grow and have success in their lives. Lots of hands on activities and playing and having fun is a must and allows kids to learn so much! I was a lead teacher in a Early Head Start program for 6 years. I also worked in the public schools as a teacher in a classroom with 4yr olds. After caring for 2 families starting in 2021 I am now looking for a new family/children to form a bond with! Working school year calelendar is ideal to have the same schedule as my daughter. This allows me to do what I have a passion to do and be there for my daughter too!

Amanda goes above and beyond to provide the best care. She brings games, activities, books, crafts, etc. all of which was developmentally perfect for my son. My son would light up every time she arrived at our home knowing he was about to have so much fun. Amanda is super sweet, caring, and professional. She was always on time, kept my home clean, and extremely responsive whenever I reached out to her. My son had some feeding issues and Amanda would always report back to me how meal times were or if there were any issues, even if they were minor.
