About Amanda

I have over 7 years of experience working with children. My first experience was working as a camp counselor at a summer camp for Type 1 Diabetics. Not only did I learn how to care for children with specific medical needs but I also got the opportunity to teach these children how to manage diabetes and live a happy and healthy lifestyle. This also gave me tons of experience with planning fun and engaging activities for all ages. I am currently a college student majoring in Education with an endorsement of Special Education. My first year of college I worked with a 17-year-old girl who was on the autism spectrum and realized my love for teaching. After that I became a nanny for 3 children, ages 2 to 4, during Covid when schools were closed, taking on the responsibility of preparing each of them for kindergarten. For the past two years I have worked at a nursery school, teaching toddlers and watching them grow into amazing young boys and girls ready to take on big kid school.
