Hi all! I am an English Literature masters degree student at California Polytechnic University of Pomona. I am an experienced English tutor that has volunteered at Bixby Elementary School, Rowan Elementary School, taught temporarily at Mesa Robles Middle School, worked at Orange Grove Middle School, interned with an ESL professor at Mt. Sac Community College, and is currently working as an ESL/English tutor at Cerritos Community College. I have worked with a variety of age groups in which I believe I have skills that make me highly qualified to connect and teach students in a comfortable learning environment! These skills include: developing lesson plans, creating appropriate documentation for student activities, reinforcing learning concepts, collaborating with other tutors/peers, and monitoring the students to ensure their safety while learning.
