Amtul was my mother's caregiver for nine months, from the time she came to live with me until she passed away peacefully at home. My mom rejected five other caregivers before Amtul came into our lives. My mom needed to feel like she wasn't being "taken care of," as an invalid, and Amtul went above and beyond to make the experience not of a patient/caregiver, but as easy and comfortable as a friend dropping over for coffee and chat. Amtul helped my mom with dressing, bathing, meals, but let her do as much or as little as she needed based on how she was feeling any given day. Again, this was to help provide a deep sense of normalcy to her life. Dying so young of cancer and heart disease is a heartbreaking process, and this wonderful angel Amtul helped make it as dignified as it could be. It has been several years since my mom has been at peace and Amtul is still regarded by my sister and myself as the Godsend that helped make my mom comfortable and happy at home. I have no doubt that the time we had with her was extended because of her lovely presence, her energy, and her incredible warmth. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amtul to anyone who needs an intelligent, kind and warm companion for their loved one. Thank you Am, for giving us the gift of happy days.
