About Amy

My name is Amy. I have been a teacher for 23 years. Before that, I worked as a Registered, Pediatric Nurse. I am also the parent of two successful, intelligent, and kind grown children. I am looking to transition out of the classroom, but still feel a strong need to be of service for others. I worked on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in Minnesota for 18 years and have deep experience with all types of behaviors in children. I approach children with a loving demeanor, while still being able to help them rise to set expectations. I am calm, patient, and kind. I love children! I love to cook, play, read and encourage learning activities with children. As a teacher, I am able to help with school work and have a creative spirit. As a former nurse, I am comfortable in dealing with any illness that might occur with children while under my care. I am a hard worker and I understand what it takes to raise a family while working.
