My 80-year-old grandmother has alzheimer's, so I do have some experience taking care of her. I take her out for walks with her walker and wheelchair, help her eat, put jewelry on, brush her hair, and have conversations. Mostly the same conversations, but I am a first grade teacher, so I love to talk and think I make great company! I have an 11-year-old dog who loves to visit with her, and if you'd like, I can bring him along too. He has a good citizen certification, but not a therapy dog. I take him to volunteer at nursing homes, and he does tricks and loves to just be around people!
