About Andrea

Hello! My name is Andrea and I have over 15 years of experience with kids of all ages, in the academic, summer camp, coaching or babysitting setting. I am a former middle school social studies and ELA teacher who taught for 7 years. I would love to tutor students in reading, social studies, writing, elementary subjects, or executive function skills coaching. I taught social studies for 5 years and 2 years of ELA & social studies. In my years of teaching middle school, I have excelled at teaching reading comprehension, vocabulary, inferencing & writing. I have a MA in Ed Policy and a graduate certificate in ESL. I have a graduate level writing ability, and can edit and coach writing at all ages. In addition to tutoring, I am a very experienced babysitter. I've been consistently babysitting for the past 9 years, but I have been babysitting since high school. I have over 10 years of summer camp experience too, so I am able to think of fun games and activities for the kids.
