About Andrew

Good day to you all. My given name is Andrew; however, I prefer to go by my nickname River. I have worked with the intellectually disabled since 2017 following loss of job due to Hurricane . I will admit I never had any intentions of working with this population; however, as fate would have it I discovered a true passion and heart for this demographic and been doing it since. In the midst of the tragedy that was Hurricane I have always felt like life gave me so much more in exchange by falling into this profession. I am college educated and have worked with children as well as adults, elderly in this field. I primarily have worked in the following capacities: caseworker, direct support professional, qualified intellectual disability professional, and I have worked as an APS investigator. I have worked with a very wide array of intellectual disabilities as well as overlapping psychiatric conditions. Please feel free to reach out for more information.
