I am just returning from my Fulbright experience in South Korea. I taught Middle school students conversational English in a small-town public school. I also tutored a North Korean Defector student twice a week for 9 weeks in English conversation. At JMU I tutored English Language Learners who were taking language classes at the university. We worked one on one on reading, writing, and grammar skills. I also co-ran a casual discussion group where students could learn about American culture while practicing speaking in a low-risk environment. I am comfortable teaching Elementary school students who are both native speakers and those learning English for the first time.
