About Angela

Hello! I am 26 years old. I am looking to be a part time caregiver. I have a passion and love for old people, and I want to incorporate that in my weekly life somehow. I was extremely close with my grandparents, and they both passed away two weeks apart last year. Ever since then I have especially had a longing for being in the company of old folks. I just want to help somebody in need, but in exchange get a bond and friendship out of it too. I don't have any professional experience caregiving for elderly people, but I did help on a daily basis with my grandparents. They both had dementia, and my grandmother had cancer. So I experienced dealing with the memory loss/confusion they faced and helped with physical needs as well (bathroom, medications, etc). Another thing to note is that my younger brother who is now 21, has nonverbal, severe autism. Throughout my childhood and adult life I have served as a second mother to him.
