About Angela

Hello! I am a 23-year-old recent college graduate taking a year off from school to spend more time with my elderly father. I hold two Bachelor of Arts degrees: one in history and another in sociology. Most of my professional experiences are centered around education at the K-12 level, higher education, as well as work in education policy. I have been a summer camp teacher with kids in urban districts as well as a peer mentor for students in higher education so I understand the critical need for culturally responsive care. I also have experience in care giving for senior citizens. I have been a caregiver for my father since I was 16 years old after he suffered a stroke. I have managed his medications, taken him to doctors appointments, ran his errands, cleaned his home, and managed his bills and documents all while being in college. I am beyond familiar with the healthcare system and am equally as frustrated with its lack of care and compassion for senior citizens.
