Hello! I've been caregiving for seniors 3 years ago at my first facility working graveyard shifts in a 4 department building that included; assisted, independent, memory care, and skilled nursing. I picked up multiple shifts in order to get to the know the residents and immediately fell in love with the work. From the simple task of making tea at 2 a.m. and chatting for a bit to taking their vital signs due to a fall. I loved the unexpected and the routine work. There's never a dull moment! I have experience with ADLs such as grooming, showering, transferring and more ! I also have experience working with clients that have Alzheimer's or dementia. Clients that's are bedridden, wheelchair bound, needing assistance using a gait belt or a hoyer lift. Incontinence care; changing briefs in bed, assisting to the toilet or emptying a catheter and much more! I have my CPR certification as well!
