I am writing this letter because Angela asked me to provide a character reference on her behalf. I met Angela when she was dating my son 4 years ago. She has since become the mother of my 3-year-old granddaughter. Despite the relationship with my son not working out, she has handled a difficult situation with grace and continued to manage a loving and constructive relationship with us. Based on knowing her for the past few years, I feel qualified to speak on her behalf in terms of character. Throughout the time I have known Angela, I have formed a very positive opinion of her. Angela is articulate and gets along with all types of personalities. I have seen her insert herself into conversation and build connections through those conversations from old to young, with no prejudices. Angela always speaks with a calm and understanding tone, even when correcting her daughter or other children. In all the plans we have made over the past few years, despite travel distance, Angela has been very punctual and keeps her commitments. Angela has had to overcome adversity in her life but has risen above these challenges and continues to focus on what is important to progress her life forward as an individual and single mother, always keeping a positive attitude.
