About Anya

Hi there! In addition to my over 10 years of childcare (including special needs) experience, I also cared for an elderly lady with Alzheimer's for a year during COVID. There are a lot of cross over skills with childcare and elderly care and so feel that I am uniquely equipped to help with most any person. Through caring for children and caring for someone with Alzheimer's, I have become a caregiver that possesses patience, empathy, good communication skills, and good ways to entertain people or engage with people. I did both overnight and day shifts when I cared for the lady with Alzheimer's and helped her bathe, dress, eat, go to the bathroom, take her medication, and get physical exercise. I also would walk her through transitions as those were difficult for her and helped her through panic attacks and angry outbursts. I also worked closely with her family and the rest of the care team to make sure she had the best care.
