About Ashley

I began volunteering at a lot of senior citizen apartments and daycare's. Eventually this led to an interview. I met this lovely family in 2011. It was love at first sight. She stood at about 4"11 and weighted about 127 lbs. She had a New York accent but hadn't lived there in over 20 years. I was hired initially to accompany her while she under went dialysis treatments, prepare meals, distribute medication, and watch her diet. She didn't like going to the center for treatments, we tried even going at 4 a.m. to see if that would help her anxiety. Since it didn't resolve the issue I suggested she try in-home dialysis and offered to undergo all training necessary. This helped and now my schedule went from a 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to a split shift. Mornings and coming later in the evening. As she required more assistance and needed more of a live in caregiver my mother offered to help and we became a duo for her. December 2013 she transitioned. She had a huge impact on my life and this was more than my job, she became a part of my family.
