About Aurora
Experience: 10 yrs
I have nearly 2 decades of experience in child care and education. I have worked in daycare, directed children's theatre camps, taught in high behavior environments, and served a middle school administrator. Currently, I work full time for a local non-profit scholarship program, but continue child and pet care in my spare time. I love working with children, and truly believe that modeling is the strongest influence on behavior. I support gentle parenting and Montessori techniques, and have extensive experience with special needs and high behavior youth. My CPI and CPR training have lapsed, but I have been previously trained in both (multiple times), and I am naloxone certified. Aurora was able to adjust her schedule, navigate a new city, and take charge in an unfamiliar household to take care of our two-year old when I was in the hospital having our newest addition over the Christmas holiday. I felt I could relax about my son, knowing that she was fully able to take care of all the basic "baby" needs - feeding, diapering, getting them to sleep, as well as providing comfort, fun, physical activity and a hospital visit for him. She was also able to help us with the baby when we got home. Thanks so much, Aurora!
