About Bailey

Hi there! My name is Bailey and I'm an energetic and creative 25-year-old. I studied filmmaking in college but fell into working with children about two years ago and I love it so much! I started out by teaching chess in after school programs and realized I wanted to be in the classroom full time, so I got my substitute teacher authorization last August. I've been working with special education children at a nearby elementary school ever since, as well as still teaching chess most days after school! I'm looking for a position over summer break working 20-35 hours a week. My focus is on giving your child a safe, routine-focused, and creative space to learn and grow into a wonderful person. I love doing fun learning activities, baking, crafts, encouraging independent time, and going on special outings when appropriate. I'm firm but kind, and will work with you on any challenges your child may come to. In my personal time I love to snowboard, play chess, see live music, and travel!
