am writing to you on behalf of Savanna. Savanna is an Early Childhood Education student. She has been my student from August, 2013 until the present. While at the career center, Savanna has been taught the following Child Development Associate aligned competencies: To ensure a safe and healthy learning environment To promote and advance a child s physical and intellectual development To provide positive guidance and social-emotional development To establish positive family relationships To maintain a well-run program responsive to participants needs To maintain a commitment to professionalism Volunteer time in the Kiddie Tech Child Care facility Infant, Child and Adult CPR and 1st Aid ServSafe Food Safety Certification Participation in: Family Career and Community Leaders (FCCLA) Student Service Organization National Technical Honor Society. As far as completing requirements as stated in the PA Daycare Code Book: 1. Savanna has higher than an 8th grade education. 2. She is enrolled in our training curriculum. Our curriculum is both CDA aligned and approved and accredited through the Department of Education. 3. The curriculum includes acceptable training topics referenced in subsection 3270(e)(2): State Regulations for Child Care Centers 4. The curriculum includes a minimum total of 600 clock hours, distributed as follows: a. A minimum of 400 clock hours of theory and classroom training in Early Childhood Education b. A minimum of 200 clock hours of supervised training in a child care facility. 5. I certify that Savanna has completed the required classroom training and is enrolled in the curriculum. I highly recommend Savanna Wilson. She is a responsible, hard-working and creative young woman whose love of children shows in everything she does.
