The Hope Connection Camp (volunteer work)- Summers 13 & '14: Camp provided through TCU's child development institute. Duties included: acting as a "buddy" and worked one-on-one with a child. All children at the camp were adopted or siblings of the adopted child. Ages of the children ranged from 3 months to 12 years of age. Nanny- Spring & Summer of '14: Age of the child was 1 year. Responsibilities included feeding, putting the child down for naps, playing with the child, and driving the child to the park and other places. Internship at Kinderfrogs School at TCU- Fall of '14: School is structured for children with Down syndrome. Children were ages 18 months to 6-year-old. Responsibilities included helping children with basic tasks such as eating properly, sitting quietly in class, grasping and pinching skills, and helping the children learn sign language and small words and phrases so they were able to communicate and get their needs met.

I highly recommend Brittany as a child care provider. I have been her undergraduate adviser, college instructor, and supervisor in a therapeutic camp. Brittany is one of the most natural caretakers that I have had the pleasure to know. She is compassionate, responsible, energetic, fun, ethical, and trustworthy. She is insightful into children's behavior and needs. She is knowledgeable about child development, both typically developing and special needs. Brittany would provide excellent care to children of all ages and abilities.
