About Brooke

I have been surrounded by animals throughout my life. I have mainly been around dogs and have had a lot of personal experience with my pets. I began volunteering at the ASPCA in 2014 to gain more experience and to give the animals the unconditional love and care they deserve. Here, I spent my time assisting in cleaning out the kennels, taking them for a walk, and keeping them company for hours upon hours. To enhance my understanding of animal welfare issues, I chose animal science as my high school career pathway. As a freshman in high school, I had the opportunity to work with farm animals and understand their complex anatomy. I decided to pursue a higher degree and further my education by currently majoring in Animal Science at the University of Delaware. So far, I have taken and excelled in several animal science classes and labs. I had an amazing opportunity to work with farm animals through my labs that were required for me to complete and have already learned so much about.
