Hi! My name is Cari and I was born and raised in San Diego. I love children (and animals) and have worked with kids of many ages for years. I taught English to kids in Thailand with my sister and it was amazing. I am recently married with two wonderful stepdaughters, ages 7 & 17. I have my associates in Child Development and Psychology and was a teacher at Scripps Ranch Swim and Racquet Club for a year as well as a regular babysitter to one family w/3 kids for over 4 years. I will gladly give their name and phone number upon request! Currently, I work part time at the Mission Valley Branch Library and enjoy playing the guitar for story time. With each nanny job, I pour my heart into our time together and make a point to be creative whether it's making playdough or learning and having fun through music. Cari messaged me for a job I have posted for our seven year old son. She also sent me references to call and set up a time to meet in person. She was late to the interview. We went over her experience and she was able to walk through our home and meet our son. She seemed excited to start helping us and had agreed to come on a weekday of next week. Then two nights before, she cancelled and said she had to "dedicate more time to her business" and unable to help watch our son. I wish she would have told me this prior to me spending time messaging on care.com, emailing references to call, texting as well as my time interviewing her. She did not apologize for wasting my time or my son's time. She is not looking to work based on my experience. I would not recommend her.
