About Cari

Hi! My name is Cari (called "Ms. Cari" by all my students) and I have been a teacher for over 26 years and a mother of four children for almost 35. I always joke that I have spent almost my entire life at school since I attended boarding schools in Europe for most of my elementary and secondary schooling. I have taught ESL, 4th, 5th, and 2nd grade in both Saudi Arabia and Richardson ISD. The past 18 years I was at Richardson Terrace Elementary during which time I was chosen as a STARS Teacher for the district (2014-15). I decided to retire this past May to care for my aging parents. I knew that I would miss my school, students, and colleagues, but I had no idea how much I still need to teach. I would like to use this year to expand my horizons to see what else might be out there for me, but I feel that I will probably be back in the classroom next August. I look forward to helping your child succeed academically in school this year!
