About Carlyn

Hi! I'm a babysitter and nanny working in the Cities. I previously worked as a preschool teacher for six years. I have been trained in first aide and CPR as well as the usage of an AED. My approach to childcare is always through love and compassion. I do not believe in time outs, but rather natural consequences and redirection. I love play based learning and love to incorporate play into all aspects of my day with children. I believe in authoritative child rearing, bodily autonomy for children, and teaching children that their voice matters and that they are an important member of society. I believe in openness, social justice, community, and spreading kindness and love. I especially believe in those things when it comes to children and caring for/teaching children. I hope to work with parents to come up with care strategies and goals as well as to set expectations so we can both be happy in the nanny/parent relationships.
