About Carmen

I have 8 yrs of experience with a background deeply rooted in childcare. I come from a large family & growing up my mother had a home daycare, where I gained many fond memories & hands-on experience in caring for children of all ages. This upbringing fueled my passion for childcare & led me to pursue a career as a nanny. I have a TA certificate in Child Development from Merritt College & am CPR certified. I worked 2 yrs as a TA at a Montessori preschool in Oakland. I was responsible for a class of 12 children & gained valuable experience in lesson planning & individualized care. I love creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities: trips to the park, library visits & zoo outings are some of the ways I ensure children have a rich & fun learning experience. As a bilingual caregiver I can teach your child Spanish while providing a nurturing & patient environment. I am confident in my ability to provide the care, attention & nurturing your child needs.
