I have worked in senior care in all different aspects for close to 20 years. The older I get, the more important it becomes to me to spend time with our older folks and bring them a source of entertainment when the world seems to forget they are still around. I enjoy assisting them with the little things they can't do for themselves anymore. I enjoy doing puzzles and quizzes to keep their brains sharp and allow them to share their stories that others don't take time to listen to anymore. I enjoy taking them shopping or cooking a meal with them or even getting that sponge bath they need so desperately. My dad is suffering with dementia and in taking care of him I've learned the hard way to appreciate our elders while we still have them. I am skilled in all bathing and personal care and I do get an A+ in compassionate care.
