Hi there, I'm Carolyn! I'm a young, energetic Musical Theater Artist from North Carolina, and I've been consistently working in both childcare and arts education since 2015. I moved to NYC in August 2022 after graduating from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a B. A. in Theater Studies. I spent three years working with a beautiful family with two young girls in Atlanta (including live-in care during COVID-19), and I've been the childcare provider to an infant and toddler in Greeinpoint, Brooklyn for the past 15 months. I've also worked as a Teaching Artist and Youth Theater Performer at the Tony-Award Winning Alliance Theater in Atlanta, GA, and always incorporate music and creative play in all of my childcare. My1-year-old nanny baby is starting preschool in the fall, so I'm looking for new work! I value flexibility for both famiy and childcare provider, and am comfortable in a variety of childcare roles. Carolyn has been with our family for a month now, as caregiver for our 2yo daughter. I interviewed many sitters and met with several and Carolyn displayed the presence, patience and experience that we were looking for. She has brought creativity and enthusiasm to her work, while also quickly adopting our family's style and approach. She asks insightful questions that help refine her work, she is a great communicator and a lovely person. Most importantly, our daughter took to her right away and they have developed a sweet bond. I've already put her in touch with my entire mom group with the highest recommendation! We're so grateful we found her.
