I love building productive and positive working relationships with students and helping them find the joy in learning (yes, it can - and SHOULD- be joyful!). I have around 10 years of experience working with students of various ages and abilities - from teaching preschool music to coaching college students through the writing process. I taught 8th grade English Language Arts, but am comfortable with tutoring all subjects, including math (I am certified to teach math in grades 5-12) and Spanish. Having moved from the classroom to a more behind-the-scenes position with an education nonprofit, I am eager to find opportunities to engage with and impact students outside of my work day. I would be honored to have the chance to get to know your child and to help him or her navigate and enjoy the learning process!
