About Chelsea

I am 24 years old and currently live in Manhattan. I graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing this past May (2012) with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. After receiving my New York State RN license in July, I decided to continue my education at Columbia, and am currently studying in their masters program to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I am also CPR certified and have First Aid training. My experience with childcare started when I was about 13 years old, when my youngest sister was born. I have had much experience babysitting my cousins (who are now 7 and 5) when they were infants as well. I also have experience caring for with toddlers, children, and teenagers. I have no allergies to pets (I actually love them), no dietary/religious restrictions, or anything at all that would affect how I would care for children. I am willing and able to acclimate myself to parents' rules and guidelines in terms of caring for their children. I am also a non-smoker and have a clean driving record (although I do not have a car in the city, but am very comfortable with the public transportation system). When I babysit children, I usually enjoy playing outside, playing board games, playing cards, doing puzzles, etc. depending on the age range. With younger children, I usually enjoy reading books and telling stories. I am very responsible and hardworking, but I love having fun- especially by surrounding myself with kids.
