About Chhoden

I started my journey in Education in Hawaii seven fruitful years ago. First year I worked as a paraprofessional, next three years I worked as a special education teacher for upper elementary and middle school for public schools in Waimanalo and Kailua in Hawaii. During Covid, I worked for a private school as a multigrade classroom teacher ( grades one and two). I made the switch because it was one of the few schools that taught in person. The next two years I taught a homeschool pod of 6 students (grade 2 to grade 6). I made the switch for my son. He didn't take too well to online learning (only option his school offered). It was the one of the best decisions I made in my career because I learned so much about children's education and their own learning styles. I'm currently working for School in Beacon, NY teaching AIS Math to students from grades K to grade 5. I'm off during the summer and looking for Math tutoring/Nanny opportunities.
