About Christia

Hi DFW families! I'm a UNT graduate student working on my degree in mental health counseling. Ultimately, I will be a professional counselor working with children and adults. In the meantime, I would love to help out with the community's caregiving needs. I have experience working with kids in after-school care programs and have studied topics such as developmental psychology and play-therapy. I'm an outdoorsy person and love to go on hikes and walks with my dog. Therefore, a typical babysitting day for me would include some time in nature. I also enjoy being creative and activities such as knitting, and poetry. I have many art projects in mind for various age groups. In addition, I know methods to make homework time fun and engaging.
