I have 1 year of experience with tutoring. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelors in Elementary Education and have worked as a fifth grade teacher for a year in 2022. I taught third grade in 2023. During summer of 2023 I began a job tutoring and love working one and one with students to reach their academic goals! I work on building math skills by using manipulatives to increase engagement. We also focus on working on foundational skills every tutoring session such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact practice. These skills will help support all other areas of math when mastered. In reading I start with having the students read out loud, this helps build their fluency, phonics skills, and helps prepare the student for the lesson. During the summer I am mostly available all day on Tuesdays and Sundays and in the afternoon during the week. During the school year I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday after 4 p.m.
