About Claire

I taught elementary special education for 5 years and 3rd grade for 1 year. I have extensive experience helping struggling students, with and without IEPs, make progress toward meeting grade-level expectations in reading, writing, and math. I have also supported students in all academic areas working with them on their classroom assignments and self-made learning materials. I believe it is important to get to know the whole person, and not just what students need help learning. My goal is to build strong relationships with students to create a fun, engaging, and trusting learning environment for them. This allows my students to feel comfortable and willing to learn from their mistakes and enjoy the learning process. Even when it is difficult! This also often involves being quite silly at times! I can not wait to support you and your child through the learning process. I am available for tutoring, babysitting, IEP goal support, and IEP meeting/development.
