About Clara

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, caring, and creative. I like working with kids because I love developing relationships with them and seeing the world through their eyes. It's so important that kids have multiple grownups with whom they feel safe and comfortable being themselves around. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as a babysitter. Since then, I've continued babysitting, provided childcare for church programming and local events, worked as an eighth grade teacher, and, most recently, worked as a full-time nanny in Brooklyn for an infant and kindergartner. Last but not least, perhaps my best source of childcare knowledge comes from being the oldest of SIX kids! I majored in English and Art History and am very creative. I'd love to come up with engaging crafts and activities for your child(ren) to do. I think play is deeply important developmentally. I also love reading out loud, going on walks, and exploring this great city!
