About Danielle

I have been working with kids for the majority of my life, from "mommy's assistant" roles when I was younger to camp counselor at both Girl Scout Camp, where I received a Camp Aide certification, and Cub Scout Camp. I have spent the last seven years working with exceptional students--special needs students on the opposite side of the spectrum of what is commonly considered special needs. I organized and ran social and educational programs for up to 600 students between the ages of 5 and 16. Large programming aside, I feel the most vital aspect to those programs was touching even just one kid's heart and truly making a difference--watching kids make friends for a lifetime, find their own passion and find true inspiration to excel. Children have a special ability to warm anyone's heart. I feel it is our responsibility as caretakers to make a difference in even just one child's life--to prepare them for tomorrow, encourage their imaginations, facilitate the joy that comes with the innocence of childhood and instill such commendable values and morals in them. I do not seek to be only a caregiver or babysitter; I want to make a true difference in a child's life.
