About Darlene

I'm a talented and compassionate retired elementary school teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught Kindergarten for the pass 27 years for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. I have a Master's degree in Leadership and Teaching from the College of Notre Dame. I love children and teaching is my passion! I enjoyed teaching kindergarten because children at this age are human sponges and they enjoy learning. I enjoy engaging them right where they are incorporating their individual learning styles and enthusiasm. I use a variety of techniques and strategies - singing, music, hands on, personal experiences to develop a personal love for learning. My instruction will include the use of a variety of teaching aids always being mindful of the developmental stages of the child. I seek to instruct the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively!
