About Dawn

I enjoy spending time with the elderly because I love hearing their life stories, and I learn so much from them. I love building close relationships with people and truly care about the people in my life. It feels good to be a helpful, caring companion and friend to those who need some extra help. I cared for my husband's grandfather who had Alzheimer's, preparing meals, helping with daily activities, keeping him safe and providing companionship, care and lots of love and reassurance. It was very rewarding and meaningful for me. I have also taken care of my own parents when they had health issues and needed help with cooking, driving to doctor appointments, running errands and helping with health care needs. I lived with my grandmother after my grandfather passed away to provide comfort, companionship and help with her daily activities. Later she had cancer, and I did all of her shopping and errands and spent a lot of time with her while she was going through chemo and recovering.
