About Deborah

For part of this past summer, I was a full-time nanny for an adorable 18-month-old girl! Last year, I was a long-term substitute preschool teacher for children with speech and language issues. I worked with children ages three and four through play, songs, and crafts. I have been a substitute teacher for 10 years for kindergarten through 8th grade, both general and special education. I have most often been a substitute AIS (Academic Intervention Services) teacher at Spackenkill, providing extra math and reading help to children in grades kindergarten through second. I have been tutoring elementary school students in reading and writing since the pandemic started. This past academic year, I have been a preschool teacher at a school for children with speech and language challenges. I have two Master's degrees from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree from New York University. I am a mother of three teens. I'm kind, caring, and fun! I love children, and they love me!
