We found Dio and hired her through Care.com to be a nanny for our son as a bridge between my parental leave and when we wanted him to start daycare at 7 months old. We completed a reference check with two of her prior families who equally provide her with glowing reviews. When she started with her, we all connected with Dio immediately. It is clear that she adores children and brought a ton of knowledge from her prior experience as an au pair, nanny and mom to working with us. She loved providing experiences for our son, even making sensory activities for him to engage in from scratch and, when ready for solids, preparing food for him to try. She was always on time, was very communicative and followed our schedule/preferences, including when we were going through some nap challenges at 6 months and logged all of his naps/food in our shared app. Some bonuses that we didn't expect but made us appreciate her even more: she loves animals and would take our dog for walks with our son, she taught our son his initial sign language signs, she would speak Portuguese with him and she would research Baby Led Weaning recipes to try with out with our son. Overall, she went above and beyond and she would be a great addition to your family as your next nanny.
