About Dominique

I graduated from USC with a B. A in Human Biology and Master's in Education. I have 4 years of experience as an academic mentor and a learning specialist in higher education. My educational philosophy is that all students are capable of academic success with the right guidance and learning strategies. I have experience creating individualized academic support plans for diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities and first-generation students. I use research and theories that I learned in my Master's of Education program to better inform my work with students. Specifically, I work with students to identify their areas of growth and introduce specific learning strategies that compliments their learning style. With the right guidance, support, and encouragement, I work to empower students to understand how they learn best so that they can achieve academic success.
